Calix

Calix describe themselves as an Australian minerals processing and carbon capture technology. The company's website is at calix.com.au

A sum of approximately £200,000 was invested in May 2009 for an undisclosed equity stake in Calix. The value of this investment was written down by 89% to 28,804 in the accounts to year end 2014. This remains the book value as of December 2015. As an unlisted Australian company obtaining financial information is rather difficult. However a series of placings and grant awards are listed on its website. That and the massive write-down in the value of EP&Fs' investment makes it likely that as of 2016 Calix, as with other EP&F investee companies, is an unprofitable business.

Unsurprisingly an EP&F director, Lance O'Neill, is on the board of directors of Calix.
